Duthie Park, Aberdeen ferrari crash

Hey all, quiet again on the forum again...

Just thought I'd post up what happens when a ferrari driver panics at 30mph...

Thanks for all the phone calls and concern, truely appreciate it guys. I certainly took a different perpective to life now that I'm still sitting here enjoying the forum. Looking back now that I'm not that groggy, how did I manage to survive on a considerably busy road without hurting anyone else was truely a miracle.

For those that's curious and the black Audi TT that I miraculously missed when I was cutting across the road while I was out of control, This was what happened in summary:

I was travelling on Great southern road exiting from Murray terrace and approaching the bend outside Duthie park and the car started to lost its back end, tried to straightened it but step on the accelerator rather than the brake, totally panicked and probably still have foot on accelerator while still trying to straighten/ negotiate the car and next thing I remember was seeing this big tree coming up in front of me on the opposite site of the road and bang. Some bruises and cuts but I'm alright.

Thanks again for all the concern.

What exactly happened he lost the back end, and nailed the throttle hoping that would sort things out and then crashed?

Yeah pretty much although I believe he was trying to hit the brakes and hit the throttle instead which then caused the accident!

Hitting the brakes wouldnt have been the most bright idea either!

Suppose he musta paniced and thought that slowing down and stopping was gonna be the best bet!

Under the picture in the description it reads "tried to straightened it but step on the accelerator rather than the brake"...........now why the hell whilst trying to sort out a sliding back end would you think hitting the brakes was going to be a good idea? lol i reckon if maybe he had tried to control the car using the steering alone the car could have driven away from this one, after all when you have it sideways round a corner it looks and feels good! lol
